Repair & Care Technician Summary
The Repair & Care Technician is responsible for overseeing service jobs from start to finish. This includes coordinating subs/job site supervision, carpentry labor, completing required reports and paper trails, and representing Prestige in achieving job site quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. This position is expected to project the company’s philosophy of dedication to people, excellence, “self-management,” & integrity.
Performance Factors (Dependability, Quality, Technical Skills, Quantity, Job Knowledge, Safety, Tool Use)
Coordinates maintenance and small project needs, completing projects within acceptable timeframe and budget.
Suggests preventative measures, needed maintenance, and alternative project options to clients while working in their home.
Completes work on larger project close-outs and punch lists.
Provide labor support on larger projects as needed.
Learns WISHA and our company’s safety policies and procedures.
Displays commitment to excellence; is accurate and thorough.
Works effectively with the Prestige Team, notifying them of any questions, discrepancies, delays, or conditions that may affect the schedule and identifies alternative solutions.
Demonstrates pride in customer service, craftsmanship, site management and teamwork.
Builds positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and staff.
Acts as backup to Repair & Care Specialist.
Observes, plans, and “pitches in” wherever needed.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry and/or property maintenance field.
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Commits to an open philosophy of communication, growth and development, integrity, customer service and teamwork.
Demonstrates ability to communicate and work effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and co-workers.
Maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; ladder & scaffold work ; outside weather conditions; vibration; inside wet or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; caustic chemicals and loud noise. In this position, the employee is regularly required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and use hands and arms to reach, grasp, handle or feel.
The employee must frequently walk and may be required to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee may also occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to read, write and speak English clearly.
